Move over Vinny! Make Room For The New Kid, Cake Princess, Jayla "Nikki J"

When it comes to young cake baking/designing entrepreneur , New York's young prodigy Vinny, owner of Staten Island Cakes has company! Meet North Carolina's teen baker and owner of Jazzy Cakes by Nikki J, Jayla "Nikki J" Allen!
A 13 year old "Cake Princess" with a passion for creative, exciting, imaginative cake designs!

This "purple" alto saxophone players' journey into custom cake design began on her 11th birthday. "I wanted a Chinese Takeout box cake designed by my now mentor, Sebastian,  (of nationally known Sebastian's Dessertery) to go with my "birthday girls day out" luncheon at PF Chang's, but it didn't fit the budget."

"My mom and I are BIG food network cake challenge fans, so I convinced her we could make the cake ourselves!" The task was harder than we thought but we made it happen!

When we took the cake to the restaurant and customers inquired and tried to place orders for their own, we quickly said, NO WAY!" laughs the teen baker.

But two years later the baking bug bit! " I began baking cakes and cupcakes for family and friends, making different designs and mixing colors to make each cake more hip to match their personalities. The cakes became a hit!" Then we received a paying birthday cake order! Jayla says with a smile.

"That's when my mom said, "Let's make this into a business and Jazzy Cakes by Nikki J was born."

Since then, Jazzy Cakes by Nikki J has been baking wonderful creations for birthdays, graduations, and community events in the Carolinas all the way to Georgia!

Just like Vinny, "Nikki J" relies on her family for support in operating Jazzy Cakes by Nikki J. She partners with her younger brother, John who serves as cake graphic designer, drawing cake designs from Dark Vader, Betty Boop, Hello Kitty to Jimi Hendrix. Her parents, JAYJON's owner, Sonjy Bambi and John Allen serve as general managers.
